Friends of the Library

This committee has their meeting at 1:00pm every 4th Tuesday of the month in the Carnegie Room.

The Mission of the Friends of the Allegan District Library is to support the mission of the Allegan District Library for the betterment of our community, by raising funds primarily through the operation of the Carnegie Book Corner, to enhance access to resources, services, and programming.

EVERYONE IS WELCOME!!

Allegan District Library Friends Committee assist the library in many areas such as:

• Summer Reading Program
• Physical equipment needs of the library
• Serving at special events

Come and visit the Friend’s Bookstore. We have our own dedicated room on the ground level. Please put your money in our locked box.  

The Carnegie Corner Bookstore is open when the library is open. 

The Friends do not take:

• Reader Digest Condensed Books
• Musty, smelly, moldy, or dirty books 
• Really old fiction
• Old college textbooks
• Encyclopedias or dictionaries
• VHS tapes

Please help the committee to continue to offer good quality, used books, puzzles, dvds and music cds at the bookstore.
